We had a great buying experience at Gene Gorman's Premier Auto. We bought a low mileage Honda, just over a year old, at a bargain price. We found the dealer fees reasonable as well. The staff was laid-back, friendly and thoughtful. Special thanks to our salesman, Scott Essex. He went over and above the call of service, and contacted our insurer to change our auto insurance over. Definitely worth the drive from Sarasota.
Where to begin. We drove down from St Pete only to be greeted by very rude service. Left and ended up getting a pre-approved loan with our bank. When the bank talked to the guy he was yet again very rude and mister know it all. Yet we had a check in hand for the vehicle. We ended up driving down again and closing the deal (do't know why but we did). Now they come with a 3k 90 day warranty. Keep that in mind. Our A/C went out, our radiator is leaking, the Cam Phaser's are giving out (which will eventually lock the engine if not replace), and the rear air suspension has gone out. we have had the car since January. i have put 5,000 dollars in so far and have another 2 grand to go. This was a 24K vehicle! Anytime we call we basically get/got sorry you're out of your warranty. and when we were still under it the answer was just take it in. Yeah awesome. I would never use this place again and this piece of junk i am basically remodeling is a constant reminder. I did 8 years in the Army and i thought we took care of our own. Not the case. Buyer beware. i dont think i have ever been so badly treated or been hosed so bad by a company.
Bruce and Chris are fantastic at this dealer, best car salesman I have ever had the pleasure of deaing with. All three dealers of the Gene Gorman auto group are great. They might not always have the exact car that is wanted but they work hard to find another one or order the one you want from somewhere else. The staff is very experienced and they know how to work a deal that will work for each individual. Kudos to the Premier lot!!!
Worse than worse!!! Bad all together the first car I got was wrecked and fixed by private body shop. They got me in a different car because I was not buying a wrecked car and as it turns out this car after left the lot needed a batterie with in a week and a week after that Power steering and breaks went out, and the transmission is now starting to make noise. Been fight with them and finance company for 3 weeks to fix and still nothing. Before you buy from them I would take to a dealership for a full inspection!!
